How is it made?

After infusing the oil with spices for over 48 hours, the chili oil is made using the "three oil method": 一香、二红、三辣 which translates to one fragrance, two red, three spice. The oil is poured onto the chili flakes three times. The first pour is for the aroma, the second pour to bring out bright red color we all know and love, and the last pour is to extract spice for that zing and pang!

How does it taste?

Mala Mama chili oil is spicy, sweet, tangy, savory, tingly, and umami. It will delight all of your 6 senses. Put it on dumplings, rice, noodles, chicken, tacos, pizza, pasta... you name it! Guaranteed to make any dish even more delicious.

Yes, all of our products are certified vegan! They contain no animal or animal-derived products.
